Willdan Says CEO to Retire

Incoming CEO says company finishing year `strong'

Willdan Group Inc., (Nasadq: WLDN), Orange County’s largest publicly traded engineering firm, announced Tom Brisbin will retire as chief executive, effective Dec. 29.

He’ll be replaced by Willdan President Mike Bieber, who will also become a board member. Brisbin, who will remain as chairman, became CEO in 2007, growing the company to almost $500 million in annual sales this year and 1,600 employees.

“We are building a leading company that transitions communities to clean energy and a sustainable future,” Bieber said in a statement. “Willdan is finishing 2023 strong, and we’re well positioned for the next several years ahead.”

Shares of Anaheim-based Willdan were unchanged after the announcement. During regular trading hours, they fell 2.4% to $20.04 and a $273 million market cap.
