BlizzCon Coming to Anaheim Nov. 3-4

Video game fanfest at city’s Convention Center

Video game-making giant Blizzard Entertainment said its BlizzCon fanfest will return to an in-person event on Nov. 3-4 at the Anaheim Convention Center, after pivoting to an online version during the pandemic and taking 2022 off altogether.

Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment is the developer of such mega-hits as Diablo, World of Warcraft and Call of Duty.

“This is another big step in the return of the Anaheim Convention Center after the pandemic shutdown,” a city spokesperson told the Business Journal. “This year, we expect to be back to a pre-pandemic 1 million attendees at the various events we host, and BlizzCon will be a big part of that.”

Shares in parent company Activision Blizzard of Santa Monica rose 0.3% to $78.04 apiece for a market cap of $61.4 billion.
